About Transamerica Institute

Transamerica Institute is a nonprofit, private foundation dedicated to identifying, researching, and educating the public about retirement security and the intersections of health and financial well-being. It is the parent organization of Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies®, which conducts one of the largest and longest-running annual retirement surveys of its kind. Transamerica Institute is funded by contributions from Transamerica Life Insurance Company and its affiliates and may receive funds from unaffiliated third parties.

Content that was previously published by Transamerica Center for Health Studies (TCHS) has been rebranded as Transamerica Institute and can be found on this website. The multifaceted content from TCHS has been carried over, including health care guides, workplace wellness studies, consumer research, cookbooks, and more. We hope that the consolidation of content will make it easier to find information you are interested it. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Transamerica Institute’s research and outreach is based on the premise that there is no such thing as an “average American” and that all Americans deserve the opportunity to secure their futures through education and empowerment.
